Task Bar Cube

Every Task Bar Cube guide

Ten guides, each written around one question a Task Bar Cube player actually asks. This page is the index: what each guide answers, when to read it, and three routes through the site depending on where you are.

FAQEverything short.Whenever you want one answer, fast

Route 1: just installed

Start with How to play for the window modes and the panels, then Beginner guide for the order to buy things in. Both are written for the first two hours.

Then stop reading and play for a day. The game's own numbers will tell you more than a guide can once you have a party, a few chests and a full inventory — and the next page you will actually need is Chests and drop rates, because the chest timer is the thing that decides how fast everything else moves.

Route 2: already idling, want the money side

Read Chests and drop rates for the published rates and the daily cap, then Steam items: sell or bank for the decision that actually matters: market credit, or a permanent team-wide collection bonus.

Then DLC guide — not because the packs are essential, but because two of them add an hour of offline time, which is the same currency an idle player is already optimising.

Route 3: pushing the ladder

Read Rarities and tiers first — most stalled saves are a gear problem wearing an upgrade-problem costume. Then Cube Upgrade and Prestige for the reset logic, then ACT League and ranking because it is the only layer that survives that reset.

Heroes and pets is the last stop on this route, and the one most people skip: talent points are free to move, and a party that has never had its points reconsidered is usually carrying a wasted fifty levels.

The three clocks

Everything on this site is downstream of three timers the game runs:

ClockLengthCovered in
Chest timer5 minutes of playChests and drop rates
Daily rewardOne dayACT League and ranking
Ranking resetOne weekACT League and ranking

Miss the first and you lose items. Miss the other two and you lose a claim. None of them is punishing, and all three reward the same behaviour: leave the game running, come back regularly.

What is not here, on purpose

  • No codes page. Task Bar Cube has no code system. A codes page for this game would be fiction.
  • No tier list. The game does not publish class rankings, and a list invented by a fan site is worse than no list.
  • No hero or pet database. The game shows no complete roster in its public material, so this site does not invent one.
  • No story spoilers. The eight chapters are named where they appear in official material, but this is a mechanics site.
